When I was a girl I always wanted to do hair - it actually got me in a lot of trouble with my mother

When I was a child, I always had the passion to do hair. I remember only wanting dolls that had hair and if they did not have hair I wasn’t interested.  I started out playing in my mother’s hair and she always said I was too rough – it’s a good thing that has since changed. 

I am what they consider a late bloomer in the industry.  I did attend undergrad and earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and then headed straight to work.  It was nearly a decade later when I decided to attend cosmetology school part time, while working full time.  It was a two-year commitment that got me to where I am today. 

Our goal at Crown of Love is to help clients to maintain and understand their hair.  This starts with building a relationship – just like with people.  It takes time, patience, and commitment.  We love to take the time to educate our clients on best practices, treatment options, product recommendations, and styles that fit their day-to-day lifestyles.
